Since 2014 , I have been attending WDF general assembly meetings as the president of the Egyptian Darts Federation and there was no African tournaments on the agenda as there was only few African member countries back then . Egypt , South Africa & Ethiopia .

On 26 th of August 2018 during the WDF general assembly meeting, I have a formal request to establish the African Darts committee . This initiative was welcomed by all the WDF member countries and was the first step in order for establishing African Cup.

On the 17th of November,the official approval was issued by the WDF to support the efforts of the Egyptian Darts Federation , which aims to establish the African Darts Committee and invite African countries to join the WDF membership to officially be part of the African Darts Committee, which will enable organizing and establishing of the African Cup of Darts.

I began to communicate with African countries on a regular basis, and it became clear to me that many African countries practice the sport of darts through national federations and committees, but they are not WDF members. Not only that, but various Darts tournaments are organized all over the continent with the presence of large numbers of distinguished players from adults , young men , women and large numbers of fans.
After 4 years, the dream became a reality and the African Darts Committee was established in preparation for the launch of the first version of the African Darts Cup in 2024.
